At Sunrise Bushcraft we can deliver national qualifications and range of accredited courses from LASER Learning Awards. We are also proud to be able to offer a range of education and qualification based programmes for children and young adults from the age of 5 – 25 years old and beyond, from our woodland in the heart of the New Forest.
Sunrise Bushcraft works closely with both National and Local governments and charities to provide a series of programmes for a range of clients. We work with young offenders, young people at risk, adults with mental health problems and learning difficulties and disabled children.
Sunrise Academy also focuses on work with schools and colleges across the south coast, providing a wide range of courses and educational programmes.

Sunrise Bushcraft is an accredited centre for LASER Learning Awards, who are regulated across the UK. We offer a range of high quality, flexible, credit-based Ofqual approved qualifications, in addition to LASER approved accreditations. As an accredited centre, Sunrise Bushcraft has access to more than 1,000 units from a wide range of subjects, such as health and social care, crafts, creative arts and design, foundations for learning and life and preparation for work.
Our current suit of Ofqual qualifications include:

- Learning, employability and Progressions (LEAP)
- Progression
In addition, we offer a range of accredited courses through LASER which can be bespoke to suit your needs. Our most popular, of which is the Train the Trainer.
Forest School
Forest School
LASER’s ‘Forest School’ (QCF) suite comprises a Level 1 Award, Level 2 Award and Level 3 Certificate.
The Level 1 Award in Introduction to Forest School Principles (QCF) provides an introduction to the Forest School philosophy.
The Level 2 Award in Forest School Programme Support (QCF) covers the skills required to support Forest School Leaders in an assistant role.
The Level 3 Certificate in Forest School Programme Leadership (QCF) develops the knowledge and skills required to plan and lead groups in Forest School programmes.
The Level 1 Award is available to learners of all ages but there are age and other entry restrictions in relation to the Level 2 Award and Level 3 Certificate.
The recommended number of guided learning hours is between 25 and 96 hours, depending on the qualification being studied. Learners are assessed in terms of whether they have met the assessment criteria specified in the units of assessment.

Train the Trainer
Train the Trainer
Sunrise Bushcraft has developed a bespoke two day accredited course designed for outdoor education professionals. The course aims to enhance their existing skills and provide them with additional valuable experience and qualifications in bushcraft, woodland living, wilderness survival and forest skills.
The Train the Trainer has been developed by our professionally qualified instructors with the intention to equip yourself or your teaching staff with additional skills. The course will ensure professionalism, competency and a new depth of knowledge that you will be able to convey to your students and clients.
